Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

I am not supposed to be the centre of my own life. In fact, I’m not supposed to focus on myself at all. I should be looking outward rather than inward.

You must have the same attitude that Christ had.

Philippians 2:5 (NLT)

Jesus never took the time to focus on Himself. Even as a child, He was found in the temple doing the work His Father required of Him. Jesus only focus through His ministry was others and completing the task set before Him.

God’s purpose for me has nothing to do with me and everything to do with the people around me.
