Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.
Hebrews 12:28-29 (ESV)
What, if anything, in your life is unshakeable? Anything at all? Relationships can be shaken. Finances. Work. Family.
This phrase, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of things that are shaken – that is, things that have been made – in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain.
Hebrews 12:27 (ESV)
There is only one thing that hasn’t been made. God himself. And only in Him can we remain unshakeable. When everything else can crumble around us, God will not. He cannot. With that in mind, is what we offer Him on a daily basis worthy of His unshakeable nature?
